If you’re a Jeep Wrangler 4 door hard top mania, you’ll know that from 2007 to current hard tops are basically the same. Small differences, but the same. This is what my wife has and it worked great.
Also, from 1997-2006, including the 2004-2006 Jeep Wrangler unlimited, the tops are essentially the same, save for some vents and about ten inches in length on the unlimited hard tops. This product includes instructions for those tops as well.
Anyone who has has to remove & move a hard top understands how difficult this can be – those suckers are heavy and cumbersome to move! This carrier is amazing. You just take the top off, pop it on this carrier, and you can wheel it around and park it wherever you need to (it has brakes on two wheels, so it won’t move once it’s parked). Plus when the top is upright, it has a way smaller footprint, so it takes up so much less space.

At first glance, it appears to be a little flimsy, but that’s because it’s designed to be adjustable and easy to store. Most people use their Jeep Wrangler hard top in winter and their soft tops in summer This is designed to be broken down easily for storage (when you’re using your hard top), but it’s actually pretty sturdy when you get your hard top on it. The stability before the top makes you worry a bit, but the weight of the top stabilizes it quite a bit.
It rolls like a breeze with the heavy hard top on. I can push it with one hand. I like that the Jeep Wrangler hard top sits vertically so it takes up less room in your garage, and if you need to move it to get t something in your garage, it’s no big deal.
My one minor complaint is that is wish it was a little more padded so I wouldn’t be afraid my top would get scuffed, but that’s very minor. It’s better off elevated on this than on my garage floor, for sure, but adding some extra padding would be nice.
Great space saver for the garage and it made moving the Jeep hardtop cover around much easier. I have a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited. I looked at winch systems to have the hardtop suspended from the ceiling, but those were more expensive and looked like a big installation project.
